Product/ Construction FAQs

What are your cushions made of?

Our cushions are made of a super luxurious spring down blend construction. We can accommodate 100% down wrap and other requests; however, we find this construction to be the most comfortable sit. It's a medium to firm support and requires very minimal fluffing. It will slowly "spring" back to its original shape once you get up.

What are your frames made of?

All of our fully upholstered products are made of kiln dried hardwood maple. They are not imported! They are handcrafted and made to order in the good ole state of NC! Our exposed wood frames like our Gregg Park Chair and Phillip Chair are made of sustainable beech. Our Kings Grant Chair is made of sustainably harvested Tupelo wood out of the Southeastern US. It's a tight grain wood similar to maple.

Do you offer eight-way hand tie?

Our standard construction is a recyclable sinuous coil system. We feel that it gives a nice "ride" to our upholstery. Extremely durable without ever having to worry if a string is going to pop! AND-- we love to the lower carbon footprint it provides. We can do eight-way hand tie upon request; however, it's not our standard for our upholstery.

What are your lead times?

Some in stock lighting ships within 3-5 days. Made to order lighting takes 6-8 weeks, while furniture and upholstery takes 8-10 weeks. Invoices will always include approximate ship dates based on current demand. Ship dates are our best estimates, but not guaranteed.

Some items may be available for quick ship. Please check product pages for specific product lead times.

How do you ship your product?

Smaller items such as the X Bench and most lighting will ship via FedEx. Larger and/or heavier pieces such as sofas and tables ship via various freight carriers. If a large piece is shipping to a residential location, shipping will go through White Glove home delivery or a company-sourced home delivery service. Shipping details will be confirmed during time of purchase.

Where do your pieces ship from?

All pieces ship from NC and SC.

Yes. We do our best to accommodate customization. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please send inquiries to info@taylorburkehome.com.

What is a "welt"?

A welt, or as some refer to as "piping," is the small circular tube of fabric that outlines a piece of upholstered furniture. This is placed around the frame and cushion of an upholstered piece. Some upholstered pieces offer a contrast welt, which allows for creativity by adding a contrasting color or pattern to your upholstered piece.

Does Taylor Burke Home make accommodations for designers?

Yes. Our company was founded with the designer in mind and will always accommodate designers. We also welcome new stocking dealers. Please email info@taylorburkehome.com to apply for a trade account.
